Conference Registration Fees

Below is the cost information for the annual SMA conference. These prices include a complementary one-year SMA membership. The winner of Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Competition will earn complimentary conference registration.

Note: *Students and Doctoral Consortium students attending the conference, please register for the Society for Marketing Advances 2019 Conference. If you are participating in Academic Placement, please register for the conference and for Academic Placement Services - Job Applicant.

HOW TO REGISTER

Returning Conference Attendees (attended last year's conference): If you attended last year's conference, 

  1. Go to: https://societyformarketingadvances.org/Sys/Login
  2. Click Forgot Password and enter the email address you used to register for the conference last year. An email will be sent to that address. If your email has changed, please contact the Director of Electronic Communications (Kesha Coker: kkcoker@bsu.edu) first for further assistance. 
  3. Check your email and follow the password reset instructions. Use your new password to log in to your account and register for your event of interest: Society for Marketing Advances 2019 Conference.

New Conference Attendees (did not attend last year's conference): If you did not last year's conference, 

  1. Select your event of interest: Society for Marketing Advances 2019 Conference
  2. Click Register.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to register for the event and create a user profile.

    Marketplace Simulation Marketing Challenge

    Friday, November 8, 2019 – 5 P.M. - 6:30 P.M. 


    Are You Up to the Challenge? Join the Marketplace Simulation Marketing Challenge Today!

    We invite you to test your marketing expertise and participate in the Marketplace Marketing Challenge at the SMA 2019 Conference!

    Marketplace® Simulations are a family of over 30 marketing and business simulations designed for university business courses, used by over 850 schools and 800,000 students worldwide.


    Challenge Details: 

    Working with another colleague, you will have 90 minutes to work through the first 3 rounds of our Introduction to Marketing simulation. Quickly assess the market, plan a strategy, and successfully launch a new marketing division. With your first market feedback, can you discover what needs to be changed, how to change it, and get back into the market in time?

    The First Place Team, each player will receive a $75 Amazon Gift Card. $50 for the Second, and $25 for Third and Fourth.

    Join the Challenge:

    You will have limited amount of time to try out your strategy and tactics in this lively simulation challenge. Surprises will surely come from your market, your competition, and even your own decisions. 

    The Challenge will provide an opportunity to explore our competitive simulation and see its potential in your business or marketing classroom.

    This will not be a leisurely competition. The clock will be ticking. The fast, the nimble, the perceptive, and the cleverest will win the day (and some Amazon gift cards).
